ProblemNiceWatch does not start if I use proxy server.
NiceWatch is a middleware integration server that consists out of two components. One is the client utility that you use to set up triggers and actions, the other is the actual server that does all the processing and initiates label printing. Both components communicate with each other over the TCP/IP protocol. The port number is 56421.
When using firewalls, make sure the firewall on your computer allows communication between both components. The client component must be able to connect to the server component using TCP/IP port 56421.
When using proxy servers, make sure to allow the computer accessing the local IP address. Usually you have to configure the proxy settings on the computer to be active for internet addresses, not local addresses.
Do the following:
- Open Control Panel -> Internet Properties -> Connections tab -> LAN settings button.
- Disable the option Automatically detect settings.
- Enable the option Bypass proxy server for local addresses.
- If the suggestion with Bypass proxy server... does not help, additionally click on the Advanced button. Then add your subnet block (e.g. 192.168.0.*) to the list of exceptions.
For permanent solution upgrade to NiceLabel software version 5.1.0 or above.
