Article ID: 160 - Updated: Aug 31, 2009 - Products: - Version: V5 - Category: Install and Upgrade
Problem
When you print labels on Windows Server 2003 SP2 operating system, you might experience slow response from the NiceLabel print engine, or print jobs start piling up in the Spooler and do not continue their way to the printer.
You may also experience NiceLabel print engine taking up majority of the processor time, up to 99%. The process name for the print engine is nengine5.exe.
The problem has been tracked down to Windows component. This problem occurs because the Win32k.sys driver incorrectly manages GDI object handles, and that this behaviour occurs after installing of a previous fix that is included in SP2.
