Need to store information about all printing activities and have overview into last print job status?

You can log the printing actions for all labels that you print directly from NiceLabel software or using NiceLabel print engine. The logging facility takes care to store all label-related information to the selected log file.

The stored information includes:

  • Username of the print operator (if user management is enabled)
  • Computer name of the workstation
  • Label template filename (*.LBL)
  • Printer name
  • Date/time of printing
  • Values for all variable fields on the label
  • Has the label already been reprinted?
  • Much more

Whenever you are interested to see the printing activities for some label file, all you need is just a click away. You can also access the logging data from your application if you must create extensive label-printing reports.

Another useful ability based on the log file is the reprint functionality. Because all label data is safely stored in the log, you can easily reprint the same label with the same data. Reprint can take place on the same printer, or you select some other available label printer.

The products in NiceLabel Standard Series store the log data into the local Microsoft Access database. Each workstation has a separate log file (the exception is NiceLabel Suite Network edition with centralized log).

The products in NiceLabel Enterprise Series store the log data into the local Microsoft Access database on each workstation AND Microsoft SQL database inside Enterprise Print Manager (EPM). Because EPM is a web-based application you can access the log data any computer. You can grant access to the log database just to legitimate users.
