NiceLabel Upgrades

NiceLabel products include protection, which assures that their components are authentic. As of version 5.1, we included a digital signature to all executable modules and NiceLabel is verifying the validity of the digital signature.

Because the digital signature used to sign NiceLabel executable files expires on April 8th, 2009, this check will fail after this date – resulting in NiceLabel software NOT running after April 8th.

How to solve this issue?

* We prepared a small patch utility, which will update the already installed distribution. It updates the software with a component, signed by a new digital signature. Using this patch, the software will run until April 6th, 2012. Until that time, a real upgrade needs to be performed.

** This is the solution, which will eliminate the problem completely and permanently. It also provides you with the latest version of NiceLabel. For Enterprise series products, you need to upgrade only Client components (NiceLabel Suite or NiceWatch Server). Enterprise Print Manager does not need to be upgraded.

IMPORTANT: If you use NiceLabel's global variables, read this article before you upgrade the software, or you might lose the global variables.
